Yeah same hear, G5 Montecs have performed great for me.... haven't put one in a shoulder blade yet though

Even the crappiest fixed heads will do great with a great shot. My first half dozen animals were with the cheapest cabelas replaceable blades my dad would buy. Usually the blade would be missing after the shot but they worked. Now I shoot slick tricks and my last animal it broke shoulder blade and two ribs and came out looking brand new and feeling as sharp as new. Quality sure doesn’t hurt. A crappy expandable not deploying correctly on impact is another story.

 I  watched a  YouTube video on that annihilator broadhead and it is one tough head! Reasonably priced too

Looks like my muzzy three blades performed average at best but I have never had an issue. Last deer it blew through a rib on each side of the animal and passed through entirely. Ran about 50 yards.

Not exactly scientific but it was an interesting watch.
I do wonder why he gave accuracy such a low percentage for his overall score. If the arrow goes where you aim then everything else is secondary.
None of the heads I use were on his list, but I doubt that his results would cause me to change. Too much meat in my freezer to argue with.

I use cutthroats. Named after the fish, traditionally bow but they work well on my buddies compound too. I’ve shot 1 broadhead behind my target into the dirt and rocks so many times now and it’s not bent or chipped. Definitely mashed up hitting some big rocks but still sharpens out easily. This was my test broadhead and it’s on arrow number 4, others have broke. $50 for 3 but lifetime warranty and hasn’t died yet.

Annihilators are the *censored*!! I shot through an elk shoulder at 90 and 72 yds this year and you can’t tell what so ever. And they fly amazing

I may have to try me some Annihilators. I've spent quite a bit of time trying to broadhead tune my bow - and retune it - and retune it - and ... I'm at the point where I'd just like to find a broadhead that consistently hits with my field points, and doesn't start wiggling off into the sunset again every two weeks.

They’re sweet. They fly great for me and my buddy. I just took my bow to the shop and had it tuned and screwed them on and they flew awesome. And you can sharpen them on a flat stone and don’t need to worry about replacement blades. They wicked awesome!

That's a pretty serious test, much better than shooting them through bricks or other random stuff.  Although there were winners and loosers, it looked very relative and they all would do a pretty good job from what was shown.  They look like bullets in that the biggest variable in performance is the joker with his finger on the trigger (or release in this case).
